KNIGHTS
OF COLUMBUS
COLLEGE COUNCIL DEVELOPMENT
CONTINUE TO WEAVE THE CABLE...
Continue to strengthen
your college council!
Remember when you took your
First Degree? The sensation of fraternity that overwhelmed you...the
proud feeling of joining the largest Catholic organization of lay men
in the world, over 1.7 million strong...the friendships that began
and continue to grow as a result of becoming a Knight.
You can share these experiences
by encouraging other men to become a Knights of Columbus.
When you recruit a new member,
you share the organization's lifetime benefits and gain another
fraternal brother in the process.
Each member you recruit is a
legacy that you leave to your college council. These new members are
a guarantee that the council will continue to grow and meet and serve
the needs of young Catholic men on your campus. Recruiting a new
Knight is a gift that you can give in repayment for all that you have
gained from being a college Knight.
Before you graduate, recruit at
least one new member. Make it a priority to ask an undergraduate to
join. When you do, this will provide you with yet another tie to our
alma mater - the continuation of your college council.
Continue to strengthen our Order!
Remember that "you are the
future of the Order, the Church, and society." After you
graduate, be sure to transfer our membership to a local council.
For the Order to survive and
thrive through the third millennium, local councils need your
youthful vision. When you transfer your membership to a local
council, that council will benefit from the knowledge and ideas that
you have gained from your college council years.
Your continued membership not
only benefits the council you transfer to, by staying active you
continue to remain qualified for the many benefits offered by the
Order. These benefits include a package of free fraternal benefits
available to members and their families; the availability of top
quality life insurance and annuity products for members and their
families; and the opportunity to build personal leadership skills
through participating in council activities and programs.
Contact your financial secretary
or the Department of Fraternal Services regarding transferring your
membership to a local council. By doing so you will continue to weave
and strengthen the cable of Columbianism!
